About Molly

Pursuing the arts throughout her education, Molly has been writing, directing, and performing in theater for as long as she can remember. From the backyard plays with her sister and next-door neighbors to her culminating thesis project Technicolor for her Master of Fine Arts from The Boston Conservatory, Molly has loved bringing stories to life that make people feel hopeful, warm, happy, and remind them of the beauty and magic of life.

Most recently, Molly co-wrote and directed The Fling LP, a new musical, for The New York Theater Festival Summerfest 2019 and, in Fall 2020 performed in a virtual reunion cabaret with her former fellow alumni and cast-mates.

 The Fling LP

In creating the new musical The Fling LP Molly wore a number of different hats as she co-wrote, directed, and produced the piece alongside collaborative partner Aaron Badilla.

Workshopping the piece through the winter and spring, Molly worked as a casting director, producer, costume and set designer, media marketing designer, and director to bring the piece together.

Celebrating the ideas of home and moving forward through life during that pivotal change post-high school, Molly and Aaron brought The Fling LP to life with a fantastic cast at The New York Musical Theater Festival Summerfest 2019.

 Technicolor: A Cabaret

Intent on celebrating the themes of love, loss, home, and nostalgia, Molly co-created the mini-musical/cabaret piece “Technicolor” with her collaborative partner Joy Clark.

Setting the piece at the hometown drive-in movie theater, Molly and Joy’s script explored their past, present, and future experiences through the lens of movie musicals and their relation to their personal journeys.

 Wig & Candle Theater Troupe

While attending Connecticut College, Molly became a (re-)founding member of the Wig & Candle Theater Troupe. Conceptualizing and executing the idea for a cabaret her freshman year with her fellow Theater Board Members, she then joined with a group of other students the following semester who had the idea to re-build a student theater group originally founded in 1915.

Working as a director, stage manager, producer, performer, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS outreach coordinator/fundraiser within the group, Molly was lucky to learn the ropes in many different areas of producing theater. Highlights included directing the Broadway Backwards Cabaret and several successful fundraising raffles for BC/EFA.
